The Audi RS e-tron GT performance marks Audi’s first fully electric RS performance model, showcasing the brand’s commitment to high standards in engineering and design. This four-door coupé is designed to embody power, sportiness, and confidence, positioning itself as the dynamic flagship of Audi’s electric mobility lineup.
The Audi RS e-tron GT performance features two advanced permanent-magnet synchronous motors, a 252kW motor on the front axle and a 415kW motor on the rear, optimising weight and performance. Notably, both motors can temporarily deliver up to 680kW (925 PS) through Launch Control, achieving zero CO2 emissions.
Moreover, Audi has enhanced the power electronics for improved performance, allowing for higher discharge currents of up to 600 amps. This, coupled with an increased braking recuperation capacity of 400kW, allows the vehicle to maximise efficiency and dynamic driving experiences.
The car achieves notable deceleration during recuperation, with coasting features improved for a sportier feel. Thermal management systems in the Audi RS e-tron GT performance ensure consistent performance by actively cooling the high-voltage battery and motors, particularly during high-output scenarios.
On top of that, the battery features new cell chemistry for increased energy capacity, with maximum charging currents boosted to 400 amps, allowing rapid charging from 10 to 80 percent in just 18 minutes under optimal conditions. The vehicle’s dynamic handling is enhanced by a newly developed air suspension and an optional active suspension system.
Drivers can customise their experience through Audi drive select modes, including RS-specific configurations for performance-focused driving. Standard 20-inch wheels come equipped with tires optimised for efficiency, while optional 21-inch tires offer enhanced grip and performance. The innovative tire designs prioritise safety and efficiency, incorporating sustainable materials.
The RS e-tron GT performance’s design includes distinctive carbon elements and a unique colour palette, emphasising both sportiness and elegance. Inside, exclusive features such as 18-way adjustable seats and advanced sound control systems enhance the driving experience while ensuring maximum comfort while driving too.
Manufactured at Audi’s Böllinger Höfe facility, the model showcases precision craftsmanship and advanced production techniques. Orders for the RS e-tron GT performance are now open, starting at €160,500 (roughly RM760,357), going as low as €126,000 (about RM596,887) for the starting price of the base spec S e-tron GT.
