Honda Malaysia Introduces A Limited Edition City Model Just For Malaysia

Honda has sold more than 450,000 units of the City here in Malaysia since its debut

Honda Malaysia has made a splash in the automotive market by unveiling Special Editions of two of its most popular models, the City and the WR-V. This move is set to invigorate the market with exclusivity and innovation, as only 99 units of each Special Edition will be available, heightening the appeal of these models and reinforcing their position in their respective segments.

The City V Special Edition has been given a striking makeover, designed to amplify its allure and exclusivity. The exterior now features Front, Side, and Rear Under Spoilers, along with a distinctive Special Edition emblem. Enhancing the driving experience, the model comes equipped with a front Honda Digital Video Recorder (DVR) to document real-time driving conditions.

Moreover, additional touches include Foot Lights, stylish Side Step Garnishes, and a Trunk Tray, all aimed at adding both functionality and flair to the vehicle. Honda Malaysia’s intention with these updates is to stimulate market enthusiasm with unique features that enhance the City’s sporty appearance while retaining its practical benefits.

The City V variant already boasts a comprehensive range of notable features, such as eight speakers, a 60:40 Split Rear Seat configuration, 519 liters of cargo space, six airbags, the advanced Honda SENSING system with eight safety features, and Walk Away Auto Lock. All these features will definitely attract more buyers.

On top of that, since its launch in Malaysia in 2001, the City has become a beloved B-segment sedan, amassing a significant local following with over 450,000 units sold. The City has evolved through multiple redesigns and upgrades, and it is currently in its 5th Generation. This car is consistently one of the best selling B-segment sedans in our market so it is no surprise there.

The latest facelift was introduced in August 2023, and the model has since achieved remarkable sales, with over 26,200 units sold to date. This is even more impressive considering the market is so oversaturated with options these days and inflation has led to higher prices in general.

The Honda City Special Edition is available in the V variant and is offered in the striking Platinum White Pearl color, priced at RM94,900, with an additional RM300 surcharge for the Platinum White Pearl hue. This edition features enhanced exterior elements, including Front, Side, and Rear Under Spoilers, and a Special Edition emblem.
