GWM Celebrates First CKD Haval H6 Rolling Off Assembly Line In Malaysia

Great Wall Motor (GWM) Malaysia is excited to announce that the first Complete Knock-Down (CKD) unit of the GWM Haval H6 HEV has successfully rolled off the assembly line at EP Manufacturing Berhad’s new CKD production plant in Melaka. This marks a significant step forward, as the GWM Haval H6 HEV is set to begin vehicle deliveries following its official launch in October. 

It is the fourth model introduced by GWM Malaysia, following the ORA GOOD CAT, ORA 07, and GWM TANK 300. Notably, it is also the brand’s first locally assembled model, underscoring GWM’s long-term strategy to enhance its global presence while catering to the increasing demand for eco-friendly mobility solutions.

Moreover, the new CKD production facility was initially developed in partnership with EP Manufacturing Berhad, and aims for a production capacity of 10,000 units annually. Plans for a second phase are already in place, with an ambitious target of expanding capacity to 300,000 units. 

With technical support from GWM China, the operation adheres to stringent regulations and standards, demonstrating GWM’s commitment to delivering advanced hybrid technology while maximising local content and bolstering the local economy. Quality control is a top priority at GWM Malaysia, ensuring excellence throughout the manufacturing and assembly processes. 

On top of that, each GWM Haval H6 HEV undergoes a rigorous inspection involving over 12 quality checks to guarantee that it meets the highest standards. Additionally, a series of on-track safety tests are conducted to ensure optimal performance, solidifying GWM’s dedication to providing an exceptional ownership experience for its customers.

What’s more, the GWM Haval H6 has earned recognition as the ‘Best-selling SUV in China’ for over 100 consecutive months, with global sales exceeding 4 million units. The Haval H6 HEV continues this legacy, featuring cutting-edge Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) technology that seamlessly integrates gasoline and electric power for an efficient driving experience and outstanding fuel economy.

GWM Malaysia plans to launch the Haval H6 HEV with an estimated price of under RM145,000, now open for bookings. Customers who book before the official launch can unlock exclusive offers, including a RM3,000 value with a RM1,000 booking fee, a 10-year or 1,000,000 km engine warranty, and an 8-year or 1,000,000 km HEV system warranty.
