Goodyear Malaysia Donates High-Performance Tyres To St. John Ambulance
St. John Ambulance is now much better equipped thanks to Goodyear Malaysia
Goodyear Malaysia, a leader in tyre technology, reaffirms its dedication to community safety with a generous donation of 60 Goodyear Cargo Marathon 2 tyres to St. John Ambulance. Valued at over RM25,000, this contribution underscores a partnership that has significantly enhanced public safety since its inception in 2006.
For almost 20 years, Goodyear Malaysia has been a key supporter of St. John Ambulance, ensuring that their fleet of emergency vehicles is equipped with high-performance tyres capable of handling the rigours of critical medical responses. This long-standing collaboration reflects Goodyear’s broader mission to support the community by empowering those who are dedicated to public health and safety.
Moreover, Ashwin Rajgopal, Managing Director of Goodyear Malaysia, commented, “St. John Ambulance is a cornerstone of emergency medical services in Malaysia, and Goodyear is honoured to contribute to their life-saving efforts.”
“Our latest donation is not just a gesture of support; it’s a reaffirmation of our commitment to ensuring that these vehicles perform reliably under all conditions. By equipping their ambulances with our advanced tyres, we are directly enhancing the safety and efficiency of their operations, allowing them to reach those in need swiftly and without delay.” He added.
On top of that, St. John Ambulance Malaysia offers a range of essential services, including 24/7 ambulance operations, specialised bariatric and neonatal transport, and haemodialysis services nationwide. As the primary ambulance provider for Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) and KLIA2, they play a crucial role in emergency responses, including air disaster scenarios.
The Goodyear Cargo Marathon 2 tyres were chosen for their superior attributes, such as an advanced polymer tread compound that provides excellent mileage and enhanced wet braking performance. Their optimised tread pattern ensures even pressure distribution and extended wear, while the robust footprint and closed tread design offer greater durability and a quieter, smoother ride.
