Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors (HSDM) has announced that the fourth-generation Hyundai Santa Fe is now available for booking across Malaysia. This popular SUV is offered in two variants: the 2.2L Diesel and the 1.6L Hybrid. The Santa Fe continues to excel as a family SUV, combining power, efficiency, and stylish design.
Jeffrey Gan, Managing Director of Southeast Asia at Sime Darby Motors, highlighted the Santa Fe’s role as a key model in Hyundai’s SUV lineup. He noted its bold design, advanced technology, and versatile powertrain options, which make it an appealing choice for Malaysian families.
Moreover, the Santa Fe features a striking design with a wide grille and T-shaped LED Daytime Running Lights that give it a commanding road presence. Its sporty profile is accentuated by a dynamic line from front to rear, and a sleek rear illuminated bar connects the taillights, enhancing the vehicle’s width and stability.
Joey Lin, Managing Director of Hyundai-Sime Darby Motors, emphasised the vehicle’s advanced technologies designed for comfort and safety. It comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system and Hyundai’s SmartSense Safety Suite, making it a top pick for families seeking a premium driving experience.
The Santa Fe is available in two powertrain options. The 2.2L Diesel model, featuring a CRDi engine, offers 202 PS and 440 Nm of torque, ideal for long-distance drives. Alternatively, the 1.6L Hybrid combines a Gamma-II T-GDi Hybrid engine with an electric motor to produce a combined 230 PS and 350 Nm of torque, providing better fuel efficiency and lower emissions.
On top of that, both variants come with Hyundai’s Terrain Mode selector, allowing drivers to adjust the vehicle’s performance for various conditions such as sand, snow, and mud. The 2.2L Diesel model also includes HTRAC All-Wheel-Drive (AWD) for enhanced traction and handling.
Inside, the Santa Fe boasts a spacious and luxurious cabin with premium materials and an intuitive layout. It features a 10.25-inch AVN touchscreen display with navigation, Dual Zone Automatic Climate Control, and a Smart Power Tailgate for added convenience.
Safety features include Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Smart Cruise Control with Stop & Go, and additional monitors for improved visibility. The Santa Fe is available in four colours, namely, Jet Black, Snowflake White Pearl, Meteor Grey, and Stormy Sea.
What’s more, booking is now open at Hyundai showrooms nationwide, with an early bird discount for the first 100 bookings, bringing prices down to RM185,888 to RM205,888 (on-the-road, excluding insurance). Each purchase comes with a 5-year/300,000 km warranty.
Prospective buyers can view the Santa Fe and other Hyundai models at AutoMania 2024, held from 6 to 8 September 2024 at Carpark B, National Stadium Bukit Jalil. Attendees who book a vehicle during the event will have a chance to win an EV Bike worth RM38,500.
