BFGoodrich Malaysia Sets The Bar Higher With The All-Terrain T/A KO3 Tire

Available in multiple sizes, the BFGoodrich T/A KO3 Tire is for every off-road adventure

BFGoodrich Malaysia has officially launched the All-Terrain T/A KO3 tire, the latest addition to its renowned All-Terrain family. The tire was unveiled during a media event at Terra, Petaling Jaya, marking its entry into the Malaysian market, thus showing, in a weird way, the only group capable of one-upping BFGoodrich is BFGoodrich.

Building on the success of the previous All-Terrain T/A KO2, the KO3 is designed for adventure enthusiasts, incorporating cutting-edge tire technologies for enhanced performance across diverse terrains. Notably, the new tire features revived raised white lettering on the sidewall, showcasing the Baja Champion badge on more sizes ranging from 15 to 20 inch units.

Moreover, Prichapakorn Dangrojana, Managing Director of Michelin Malaysia, emphasised the company’s commitment to performance and durability, stating that the KO3 reflects a deep understanding of the demands of all-terrain explorers. The tire aims to exceed customer expectations through ongoing innovation.

The BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO3 outperforms its predecessor in treadwear, toughness, and traction. Its tread pattern and all-terrain compound enhance durability and longevity, especially on gravel, while the optimised footprint and full-depth 3D locking sipes promote uniform wear, improving mileage as well as enhancing the ruggedness of the tire’s overall appearance.

In terms of toughness, the KO3 also incorporates improved CoreGard Technology, providing exceptional sidewall protection and earning the Baja Champion badge. This technology extends rubber protection down the sidewall, minimising risks of splits and bruises, making it ideal for challenging terrains.

On top of that, the tire’s traction capabilities are also notable. It features full-depth 3D locking sipes, a serrated shoulder design, and Mud-Phobic Bars that enhance performance in mud and snow, achieving a Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake severe-snow rating. The interlocking tread elements enhance handling and traction on both on-road and off-road surfaces, with improved wet traction that stops 4.2 metres shorter than the KO2.

BFGoodrich plans to roll out over 62 sizes of the All-Terrain T/A KO3 over the next two years, with 39 sizes launching in three phases beginning September 2024. An additional 19 sizes will be available in 2025, and the final four sizes will arrive in 2026. Prices for the KO3 range from RM825 to RM2,946, making it a versatile option for local adventure seekers navigating Malaysia’s varied landscapes.
