Its finally here. Bermaz Xpeng Sdn Bhd, the sole distributor of the XPENG brand in Malaysia, is proud to announce the official launch of its first XPENG model, the XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV. The G6 is now available for booking with a starting price of RM165,000.00*.
For 2024, there will be 5 showrooms, the flagship in Glenmarie and the rest in Penang, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca and Johor Bahru.
SEPA 2.0 Explained
The XPENG G6 Smart Coupe SUV is the fifth model introduced by XPENG Inc. at the Shanghai International Automobile Industry Exhibition (Auto Shanghai) in April 2023. This mid-size crossover SUV is powered by the modern next-generation SEPA 2.0 platform with 800-volt architecture and offers comfort and plenty of space. Ultimately, the XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV is the first new production model built on the SEPA 2.0 platform.
Smart Electric Platform Architecture 2.0 (SEPA 2.0) is XPENG’s latest integrated technology architecture platform, setting the foundation for future production models. This technology brings more advanced architectural solutions, aiming for XPENG to meet diverse consumers’ needs in optimizing R&D, development efficiency and optimized cost. The SEPA 2.0 will empower XPENG in the ongoing quest to refine the mobility experience with compelling value, superb comfort, and rich infotainment.
Performance, Superfast Charging & Safety
The G6’s body design features a dynamic ratio with a low center of gravity that offers better dynamic driving control. Its body structure comprises a steel and lightweight aluminium blend, providing robust safety features at a lower weight.
Powered by a high-voltage Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) of 66 kWh battery pack of 66 kWh for the G6 580 Pro variant, which can travel up to 435 kilometres with a maximum of 440Nm torque and producing 255 horsepower, with a top speed of 200 km/h and 0 – 100 km/h in 6.6 seconds while the 755 Pro variant featured an 87.5 kWh Nickel Manganese Cobalt (NMC) for the Long Range variant which can travel up to 570 kilometres with a maximum of 440 Nm torque producing 282 horsepower with a top speed of 200 km/h and 0 – 100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.
The G6 is designed with charging capacity and energy efficiency which empowers superior range performance and charging experience.
Its energy-saving attributes and a cutting-edge thermal management system. Equipped with an 800-volt high-voltage silicon carbide (SiC) platform that supports superfast charging (DC). The maximum DC charging capacity is 215 kW for the 580 Pro variant and 280 kW for the 755 Pro variant. Using DC rapid charging, the G6 can be charged from 10% to 80% within 20 minutes for both the variants.
Specifications
This was leaked earlier this month and we shared them and now its confirmed. In terms of safety, the G6 is equipped with both standard and advanced safety features, also known as the XPILOT 2.5. For its standard safety features of the vehicle includes 7 airbags and electronic child lock. As for its advanced safety features, the XPILOT 2.5 driver assistance system is equipped with high-definition millimetre-wave radar, ultrasonic radar and a 360˚ HD Camera powered by Nvidia Orin-X chipset which this feature allows drivers with panoramic traffic environment surrounding the vehicle on the instrument cluster.
The G6’s XPILOT driving advanced safety features comes equipped with Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Stop & Go, Lane Centering Control (LCC), Active Lane Change (ALC), Enhanced Auto Parking Assist (EAP 2.0), Auto Exit Parking Assist (AEP) via XPENG mobile application, Straight Summon via XPENG mobile app, Driver State Monitoring (DSM), Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB), Intelligent High Beam (IHB), Blind-spot Detection (BSD), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), Lane Keeping Assist (LKA), Emergency Lane Keeping (ELK), Rear Cross-Traffic Alert (RCTA) and Rear Collision Warning (RCW).
Additionally, the XPENG mobile application features essential functions such as checking vehicle status, locking and unlocking its door, determining tire pressure status, controlling air conditioning, and performing numerous other functions. Its advanced function consists of Enhanced Auto Parking Assist (EAP 2.0), which can assist the owner in parking in and out of perpendicular, parallel, or diagonal parking spaces with or without lines. Auto Exit Parking Assist (AEP) can be applied through the mobile application for driving out of the parking space.

This G6 features a striking body design with a new concept of tech-fluid aesthetics to attain a consumer’s sense of style. The G6 features a robust, sleek, and stylish exterior design, its clean and sleek lines contributing to its aerodynamic efficiency.
Interior
Incidentally, this G6 introduces a comfortable and spacious cabin space that features superior legroom and headroom for first and second row passengers with ergonomically designed seats that feature eco-friendly materials and offer seat ventilation and heating (cushion and headrest) for both drivers and front passengers, 6-way power adjustments, and 4-way lumbar support with position memory and Welcome Mode.
Did you know that this G6 is equipped with Dual wireless charging of 50W for each charging pad for convenience, along with dual temperature zone automatic air conditioning vent and an interior air purification system, XFreeBreath air purification to ensure only the cleanest air within the cabin of the G6.
The G6 is equipped with an upgraded smart in-car operating system, Xmart OS 5.0, offering all comfort-enhancing features. Its Smart Cockpit is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P chipset. The Xmart OS in-car operating system leverages multi-sensor software and hardware platforms to enhance driver and vehicle interaction.
Its 14.96-inch high-resolution central control system provides a more intuitive interaction experience, as does its 10.2-inch digital dashboard. The Intelligent Voice Assistant features an interactive avatar and voice profile featuring a human-like image and refined voice quality, and the XPENG mobile application enables drivers to control the vehicle remotely through Smart Vehicle Control.
The G6’s infotainment system features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, an extensive music and video library, entertainment, and social media applications. Its system will be updated via periodic software updates that take place completely Over-the-Air (OTA). This system is designed to be future-proof and is dedicated to providing owners with customizable smart driving functions in the future, making their journey safer, more convenient, and more enjoyable.
Equipped with an 18-speaker XOpera surround audio system with a total power of 960W, panoramic sound effect technology, and XPENG’s self-developed acoustic algorithm for an immersive sound experience.
The XPENG G6 Ultra Smart Coupe SUV is CBU from China. The available color line-up includes Midnight Black, Silver Frost, Artic White, Graphite Gray, and Fiery Orange, for a total of five (5) colors. In terms of interior seat material, the G6 comes with leatherette, and all variants have two color options: Black and Grey.
With a starting price of RM165,000.00* for the 580 Pro variant and RM185,000.00* for the 755 Pro variant. (we did earlier guesstimate the selling price to be RM180k)
The XPENG G6 comes with a 5-Years Manufacturer Warranty (or 120,000km), whichever comes first. It also comes with an 8-Years High Voltage Battery Pack warranty and a mileage limit of 160,000km, whichever comes first.
Interestingly, the direct rivals for the XPENG G6 are all priced higher and offering less in terms of driving distance and cabin features which means sales volumes for the XPENG G6 will be very very very good in the coming months.
