The new Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 goes on sale for GT4 Series race teams around the world.
When selling serious sports cars, brands tend to offer custom specified vehicles tailored to certain race series. With the Toyota GR Supra, we’ve seen support for a GT4-specific model since 2020 and in 2023 it was given a performance update and now for 2024 comes more improvements as sales have been promising.
While the 2023 update improved braking, handling and engine performance, TGR’s efforts to make ever-better motorsports-bred cars did not stop there. The team went around the world gathering feedback and observing the vehicle under extreme real world racing conditions to advance their driver-first car-making approach.
The 2025 Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2 is the culmination of their efforts and yes, the order books are open with pricing starting at around 202,000 euros.
What’s New On The Toyota GR Supra GT4 EVO2?
The first area that was improved was the ABS mapping. This was re-tuned to enable optimal braking and cornering based on tyres type and wear. The next area is the transmission software. This has also been recalibrated to reduce downshifting time, which leads to better deceleration control during braking. What’s more, cooling has been improved for the engine, brakes, drivetrain and also the cockpit for better performance overall.
The vehicle will make its global debut in January 2025 at the IMSA Michelin Pilot Challenge held in conjunction with the 24 Hours of Daytona.
