GoCar Malaysia, a prominent player in the on-demand mobility-as-a-service sector, has introduced an innovative test drive initiative known as the “GoCar Experience.” This unique program starts with the AION Y Plus, an all-electric vehicle, and offers prospective buyers an extended test drive to enhance their decision-making process.
The GoCar Experience stands out in the industry by allowing potential buyers to take the AION Y Plus home for either three or seven days. This extended trial provides a far more realistic and comprehensive evaluation compared to the typical short test drives.
Moreover, Wong Hoe Mun, CEO of GoCar Malaysia noted that modern vehicles come equipped with advanced technologies and features that are difficult to fully appreciate in a brief test drive. This program gives customers the opportunity to experience the vehicle in their daily environment, making it easier to make an informed decision.
The GoCar Experience program offers two trial options: a three-day test drive for RM399 and a seven-day trial for RM899. Both options include complimentary EV charging credits (RM20 for the three-day trial and RM50 for the seven-day trial), which can be activated through the GoCar mobile app.
A security deposit of RM399 is also required for both plans, fully refundable within 7-14 working days upon return of the vehicle. Additionally, the trial fee is entirely refundable if the customer decides to purchase the vehicle.
On top of that, Currently, the GoCar Experience is available exclusively at AION Petaling Jaya. Interested individuals can book their test drive by visiting the showroom on Jalan Kemajuan or through the GoCar Experience website.
The program is open to all Malaysian drivers aged 18 and above with valid driving licences, as well as foreigners and expatriates with an international driving permit. Bookings must be made 24 hours in advance, and the vehicle can only be collected and returned at the AION Petaling Jaya showroom, which operates from Monday to Sunday, 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.
To celebrate the launch, AION Petaling Jaya will host a special event on August 24-25, 2024. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the AION Y Plus, participate in a “Book & Win” lucky draw with RM8,000 in prizes, and enjoy exclusive early bird giveaways such as RM1,000 charging credits and a wallbox charger. The event will feature interactive games, free food and drinks from food trucks, and a chance to take the AION Y Plus for a quick drive, making it a fun and engaging experience for all.
