Modenas Launches New Logo And Brand Identity, Evolving As A Global Mobility Icon

Modenas now has a new look to it signalling its global intentions

Motosikal dan Enjin Nasional (Modenas), a subsidiary of DRB-Hicom Berhad, has unveiled a new logo and brand identity, signalling its ambitious plans for the future. The revamp highlights the company’s focus on global expansion, advanced technologies, and sustainable solutions.

The refreshed logo features a modernised version of the iconic Modenas “M” symbol, encased within a circle to represent precision and a new identity. While retaining its signature blue and white colours, the updated logo introduces a grey and platinum variant, reflecting a contemporary aesthetic.

Moreover, a new Road Star Element has been incorporated to underline the brand’s leadership, adaptability, and commitment to growth. The launch event was spearheaded by Tan Sri Syed Faisal Albar, Group Chairman of Modenas and Group Managing Director of DRB-Hicom Berhad.

Key figures in attendance included Faizal Mohd Yusof, Senior Director of Industry and Development at the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI), Azrul Reza Aziz, Chief Executive Officer of the Malaysia Automotive, Robotics and IoT Institute (MARii), and Roslan Roskan, Chief Executive Officer of Modenas.

On top of that, in celebration of this milestone, the brand also introduced an upgraded, eco-friendly variant of the Modenas KRISS 110. This model is the first KRISS variant to comply with Euro 4 emissions standards, showcasing the company’s commitment to sustainability and adherence to global environmental regulations.

This launch also represents the brand’s broader initiative to offer more environmentally friendly models in the future. Modenas has strategically partnered with global manufacturers such as Kawasaki Motors Ltd., Kwang Yang Motor Co., Ltd (Kymco) from Taiwan, and Bajaj Auto Limited (BAL) from India.

What’s more, these collaborations have facilitated the company’s expansion into international markets, including Greece, South America, Russia, Thailand, and recently China with the locally assembled Kawasaki ZX-6R in 2024.

Modenas has also supplied MEV-1 electric motorcycles to Pos Malaysia since 2023, supporting the national courier’s net-zero emissions goal. Proudly Malaysian, Modenas is embracing a global perspective, driven by innovation and a commitment to setting new industry standards.

Roslan concludes, “As we move forward, we remain committed to our roots while embracing future opportunities. This new direction reshapes our culture and operations, emphasising inclusivity, sustainability, and global collaboration. We are dedicated to advancing our legacy and shaping the future of motorcycles.”
