The Late Queen’s Finest Land Rover Vehicles Were Shown At Pebble Beach

A collection of the late Queen’s finest Land Rover vehicles was shown at Pebble Beach.

At this year’s Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, Land Rover Classic managed to put together a collection of Land Rover vehicles that served the Royal family during the reign of the late monarch Queen Elizabeth II. The Land Rover brand has a long association with the Royal Family that goes all the way back to the start of the company in 1948. Their vehicles have always served the Royal Family either as part of the household fleet or in an official capacity. The collection shown was not complete but ranges from a selection of vehicles from 1954 to 2009 – coming from the Royal Household private collection, the British Motor Museum, as well as Land Rover Classics themselves and other private collections.

This pioneering State Review vehicle, featuring a custom rear platform, accompanied Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip on a six-month Commonwealth tour. It was used in Australia and is now owned by a private collector in the United States.

This third State Review Range Rover appeared in Queen Elizabeth II’s 1994 Christmas card, showing her and Prince Philip at the D-Day 50th Anniversary. It’s part of the British Motor Museum collection.
