Dato’, Your New Stylish Superfast Mclaren Artura Is Here From Just RM3.4 Million

The McLaren Artura Spider looks good and is a V6 hybrid as well

The new McLaren Artura Spider is finally here in Malaysia and for those seeking a more stylish or slightly more electrified version of the popular Artura coupe, this is definitely for you. Surprisingly, despite being heavier, the Spider actually shares the exact same 0 t 100km/h time as the coupe version of the McLaren Artura so really, there is no down side to the car. See why else you will like it.

When shifting through its driving modes, the Artura Spider’s redesigned exhaust system generates a captivating crescendo of sound that envelops the driver. This enhancement, combined with significant upgrades over the original Artura, such as increased power and performance, ensures an even more immersive driving experience.

Moreover, the Artura Spider delivers blistering acceleration that closely mirrors the coupe’s performance, accelerating from 0 to 100km/h in 3 seconds, reaches 200km/h in only 8.4seconds and hits 300km/h in just 21.6 seconds. Not to mention, it has a top speed of 330km/h powered by a more potent 3.0 litre V6 engine combined with an electric motor, producing a total of 690hp.

As the lightest convertible supercar in its class, the Artura Spider boasts an impressive power-to-weight ratio of 480 PS/tonne. The powertrain generates a maximum torque of 720Nm, with the E-motor providing transient torque up to 225Nm, ensuring instant throttle response. New transmission calibration and a pre-fill feature deliver 25 percent faster gear shifts.

On top of that, the Proactive Damping Control suspension system has been refined to increase response rates by up to 90 percent, improving reactions to driver input and road surface changes. The braking system now offers greater power and consistency at high speeds, supported by new brake cooling ducts that improve thermal management.

The McLaren Artura Spider also features a retractable one-piece hard-top that operates electrically in just 11 seconds, even at speeds up to 50km/h. An electrochromic roof panel is available as an option. Aerothermal efficiency is optimised with four separate ducting systems, enhancing engine cooling airflow and reducing occupant buffeting.

The Artura also includes an HD touchscreen infotainment system for configuring advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), standard Apple CarPlay smartphone mirroring, and optional wireless charging. New features include Blind Spot Monitoring, Cross-Traffic Detection, Road Sign Recognition, and Lane Departure Warning.

To top it all off, the McLaren Artura Spider offers new exterior paint colours and optional ‘Stealth’ black badging. The Artura Spider is priced from RM 3,400,000 (duties included) before options, and comes with a 5-year vehicle warranty, 6-year battery warranty, 10-year body perforation corrosion warranty, and a 3-year service plan. So, how many you want, Dato?
