Chery Hands Over New Vehicles To Malaysia’s Olympic Bronze Medalists As Promised
Our olympic winners made us so proud that Chery gave them free cars
Chery Malaysia recently celebrated the remarkable achievements of Malaysia’s Olympic bronze medallists from the Paris Olympics, honouring their stellar performances in a grand ceremony. The event highlighted the exceptional feats of badminton players Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik, who competed in the Men’s Doubles event, and Lee Zii Jia, who competed in the Men’s Singles.
Each athlete was awarded a luxurious Tiggo 7 Pro as a token of appreciation for their achievements and to recognize their contributions to national pride. Unfortunately, Lee Zii Jia was unable to attend the ceremony as he is currently participating in an overseas tournament.
Moreover, despite his absence, the celebration continued with Aaron Chia and Soh Wooi Yik present to receive their awards. Michael Chew, Vice President of Chery Malaysia, along with YB Hannah Yeoh, Minister of Youth and Sports, presented the Tiggo 7 Pro vehicles to the athletes.

The Tiggo 7 Pro, valued at RM123,800, features a 1.6L Turbocharged Petrol Direct Injection engine delivering 194HP and 290Nm of torque, paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) for smooth performance and efficient fuel consumption of 7.0L/100km. It is also equipped with ADAS 2.5, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and a panoramic sunroof.
