All-New Lamborghini Temerario With 2.7 Second 0 To 100 Acceleration Launched

The new Lamborghini Temerario features a hybrid twin-turbo V8 setup, HELL YES!

At Monterey Car Week 2024, the Lamborghini Temerario takes centre stage as the new pinnacle of the super sports car world, setting a new standard with its exceptional performance. This groundbreaking vehicle features an innovative hybrid powertrain that seamlessly integrates a new twin-turbo V8 engine with three electric motors so you know it is ultra powerful.

This setup makes an impressive total output of 920CV (about 907hp). Crafted from the ground up in Sant’Agata Bolognese, the twin-turbo V8 engine is the only production super sports car engine capable of reaching 10,000rpm. This allows the Temerario a top speed exceeding 340km/h (roughly 210+ mph) and reaching 100 km/h from standstill in just 2.7 seconds.

Moreover, Stephan Winkelmann, Chairman and CEO of Automobili Lamborghini, highlights the car’s uniqueness, saying “The Temerario is a true ‘fuoriclasse’—a vehicle that stands in a class of its own, offering extraordinary innovation both technically and stylistically.”

“Each new Lamborghini must not only surpass its predecessors in performance but also enhance sustainability. With the Temerario, we have advanced significantly in our electrification strategy under the Direzione Cor Tauri plan and become the first luxury automotive brand to offer a fully hybridised lineup.” He added.

On top of that, the Lamborghini Temerario represents a significant leap in aerodynamic efficiency and design. Its entirely new aluminium chassis, crafted from a state-of-the-art high-strength, ultra-light alloy, greatly enhances torsional rigidity and driving dynamics.

This advanced chassis design also improves passenger comfort and increases interior space, offering more room for passengers and luggage than any other vehicle in its class. The Temerario is equipped with Lamborghini’s most advanced multimedia system to date, the Lamborghini Vision Unit.

This system offers cutting-edge functions and applications, allowing drivers to capture, relive, and share their driving experiences on both track and road. The highlight of the Lamborghini Temerario is obviously the 4.0 litre V8 bi-turbo hybrid engine with 3 electric motors making 920CV and a max torque of 730Nm paired to an 8 speed DCT enabling a top speed of 343km/h.

The Lamborghini Temerario exemplifies the Italian brand’s commitment to pushing the boundaries of automotive performance and innovation, marking a new era in the super sports car segment. In a world where electric vehicles (EVs) are slowly overtaking the world of sports and supercars, it is refreshing to see the bull show off its horns with a V8 so I already love this car. Do you agree?
