Wife Dead, Husband Seriously Injured In Accident In Gua Musang

Tragedy struck on Jalan Gua Musang – Lojing yesterday when an elderly woman lost her life in a vehicular accident involving two Perodua Myvis. The incident occurred at approximately 3:40 pm, claiming the life of 63-year-old Maznah Mat Nor, who succumbed to her injuries at Gua Musang Hospital.
Her husband, Ariffin Mamat, aged 75, sustained serious injuries from the crash, while another occupant of the Myvi also suffered injuries. According to Superintendent Sik Choon Foo, the Gua Musang district police chief, the accident unfolded when the vehicle driven by Ariffin Mamat skidded while negotiating a turn.
Moreover, after this, the car swerved and collided with another Perodua Myvi. The community is urged to come forward with any pertinent information regarding the accident by contacting JSPT Ipd Gua Musang at 09-9121222 or reaching out directly to the investigating officer at 013-3010408.
The incident report was sourced on 15 July 2024, and assistance with towing was provided by Musang Kamal Cave. The tragic event has left the community in mourning and serves as a stark reminder of the importance of road safety and vigilance while driving.
