In a surprising turn of events, shoppers at a local shopping mall witnessed an unusual sight as a car accidentally created its own parking spot INSIDE the mall. The incident occurred when a young lady driving a white Toyota Vios ran through the glass pane at the car park level of the mall.
Moreover, one can only imagine how eyewitnesses would have described the incident. It is unclear if she slowly drove into the glass or whether she accidentally pressed the wrong pedal and braked right as she hit the glass but at the end of it, the whole car was inside the mall Fortunately, it seems like no one was injured and the vehicle looks to be intact with no major damages.
Upon realising her mistake, the driver of the car can be seen making a phone call. The picture quality is very low, so it is hard to see her expression, but it shouldn’t be too hard to guess that the young lady likely had a look of shock and regret on her face. Hopefully whoever she called was able to help her out.
At the end of the day, it appears that this entire debacle was simply a genuine mistake and serves as a reminder as to why features like pedal misinput mitigation on ADAS suites are very important. We hope the young lady who drove her car into the mall did not get too traumatised and that she learned her lesson.
