The Polestar 6 Concept BST was shown at Goodwood 2024.
Last week, Polestar brought a number of their vehicles to show off at the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2024. The Polestar 3 and Polestar 4 have around for some time so the real show-stealer was the Polestar 6 Concept BST.
Polestar 6 Concept has been shown before and has already been confirmed for product. It was initially known as the Polestar O2 Concept before taking on the ‘6’ moniker. This time, we got a “BST” variant. Polestar has shown a couple of BST editions in the past, chiefly the Polestar 2 BST Edition 270 and Edition 230 models. It’s not completely clear what “BST” stands for, but it’s largely agreed to be an abbreviation of the word “Beast”.
The Polestar Concept BST showcases unique bodywork in classic motorsport silver. It boasts muscular flared arches, an extra-wide track, and 22-inch forged alloy wheels. The aerodynamically optimized hood features a distinctive vented design, complemented by an aggressive front splitter. The rear sports an extreme wing completing the motorsport aesthetic. Decals also add to the drama with the number “6” emblazoned on the hood, “Polestar” on the wing and “BST” across the vehicle’s sides. Built on the same bespoke bonded aluminum Polestar Performance Architecture (PPA) as the Polestar 5, it represents the pinnacle of Polestar’s current lineup.
It’s unclear how much more powerful this BST model is compared to the standard production Polestar 6, but here’s what the CEO of Polestar had to say.
Thomas Ingenlath, CEO of Polestar said: “Now we are a brand with three models in production, it’s great to see them here together for the first time at a global event. Goodwood Festival of Speed is full of the most exciting cars and the most enthusiastic crowds, so it’s the perfect place for us to tease our Polestar Concept BST. This car is a demonstration of how far we can push our performance brand – Polestar turned up to 11, if you will – and a demonstration of how we could apply the BST formula to our line-up in the future.”
