Pagani Huayra Epitome One-Off Debuts With V12 & Manual Transmission

The Huayra Epitome proves Pagani is still all about the purity of experience when the client demands it.

Pagani Automobili has once again pushed the boundaries of hypercar engineering with the introduction of the Huayra Epitome, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece from their Grandi Complicazioni division. This exceptional vehicle showcases Pagani’s commitment to innovation, customization, and prestige in the realm of high-performance automobiles.

At the heart of the Huayra Epitome lies a formidable Pagani V12 engine, meticulously crafted by AMG to Pagani’s exacting standards. This powerplant delivers an impressive 864 horsepower at 6,000 rpm and 1,100 Nm of torque. The 5,980 cc twin-turbo engine features a unique distribution system that extends the rev limiter to 6,700 rpm, promising an exhilarating driving experience.

In a first for the Huayra line, the Epitome boasts a manual transmission, offering enthusiasts a pure, mechanical connection to the car. The seven-speed transverse gearbox, developed by Xtrac, incorporates an electronically controlled differential and a racing-style tri-pod driveshaft. This setup ensures optimal power transfer and responsiveness, while a triple-disc clutch enhances torque transmission.

The Huayra Epitome’s suspension system represents a significant leap forward in hypercar technology. Its geometry reduces dive during acceleration, pitch under braking, and roll in corners, allowing for later braking and improved vehicle control. Pagani has also prioritized comfort with an innovative active suspension system featuring a “super soft” mode for rough road conditions.

Aerodynamics play a crucial role in the Epitome’s design. The car features a redesigned front bumper with an integrated splitter, optimizing airflow and downforce. The rear end showcases a completely new design, including a hood with an integrated wing inspired by the Huayra R. These elements not only enhance performance but also contribute to the car’s striking aesthetic.

The Huayra Epitome rides on bespoke forged aluminum alloy wheels, designed for optimal performance and safety. The front wheels feature seven spokes, while the rear wheels have nine, drawing inspiration from the client’s Imola Coupé. Paired with Pirelli P Zero™ Trofeo R tires, they ensure exceptional grip and handling.

Sound engineering hasn’t been overlooked, with a lightweight six-way titanium exhaust system creating a symphony of power. A unique four-exhaust button activates two additional outlets, enhancing both acoustics and aerodynamics through a blown diffuser effect.

Lighting is another area where the Epitome stands out. It’s the only Pagani one-off to feature four light units on the front hood and two DRL elements on the bumper, balancing exclusivity with improved illumination.

The Huayra Epitome is a product of Pagani’s Grandi Complicazioni division, which specializes in creating ultra-limited series cars with highly complex technologies. This approach allows for unprecedented levels of customization, from concept to execution, resulting in truly bespoke hypercars.
