Neta GT Supercar Right Hand Drive Launch Soon For Less Than RM198k
The Neta GT will be the first sports coupe electric car to arrive in Malaysia
First unveiled in April 2023 in China, The Neta GT is a sleek looking electric sports car that provides buyers two possible drive variants.
From the early days of electric vehicles in Malaysia, we have seen a sleek sedan like the Porsche Taycan and more recently the BYD Seal, Mercedes EQE, BMW i5 and GWM Ora 7 whilst the rest have all been Crossovers and SUV’s.
Yes, the majority of electric cars being launched have been some form of high riding hatchback with a ‘SUV’ stance even when some of them were actually simple compact hatchback vehicles.
Well, we know that most consumers want a SUV and as long as the car manufacturer ‘tags’ their product as a SUV, consumers buy into it despite it being a simple car like hatchback like the Neta V and BYD Dolphin.
Well, now comes the first 2 door sports car that is full electric. Yes, Neta has this sleek looking GT sports car that reminds us of the Nissan Silvia S15 and it is bold move to excite the electric car market with a sports car that provides emission free motoring.
The rear wheel drive version develops 228hp, while the all wheel drive version reaches 456hp. The basic battery pack allows the user to drive about 560 km on a single charge and the all wheel drive variant can reach about 580 km.
Once inside you get a 17.6-inch portrait-style infotainment screen powered by a high-end smartphone chip (Snapdragon 8.1) and a rectangular 10.2-inch driver’s display. The sports seats offer the driver and the front passenger good support.
This sports coupe also has a 360-degree camera system, a 12-speaker sound system, a wireless charging pad, a couple of USB-C inlets, many options to adjust various settings, decent storage room in the center console and the doors, and three driving modes.
Neta is a Chinese electric car manufacturer, Hozon Auto under the Neta (Nezha) brand.
This Neta GT selling prices start from USD24,000 to just USD31,000 for the top variant which means selling price sin Malaysia will be in and around the BYD SEAL selling price.
