The partnership focuses on bridging the gap between education and employment for skilled workers, particularly targeting those not in employment, education, or training (NEET). Graduates recommended by Belia Mahir Project will have the chance to join Chery’s offices and assembly plants nationwide.
Key Benefits of the Partnership:
- Career opportunities in China’s largest vehicle exporter brand
- Competitive minimum monthly income of RM2000
- Comprehensive staff benefits
- Valuable experience in the automotive industry
Mr. Leo Chen, Executive Vice President of Chery Corporate Malaysia, emphasized the importance of cultivating a skilled workforce to maintain the company’s commitment to quality. He stated, “We aim to cultivate a robust workforce of skilled professionals to maintain our commitment to delivering high-quality vehicles and services to our valued customers.”
The collaboration aligns with Malaysia’s industrial and energy transition goals, contributing to the growth of the automotive industry. It also supports Chery’s recent launch of an assembly plant in Shah Alam, Selangor, with more facilities planned.
The MoU exchange was acknowledged by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi, who is also the National Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Council chairman. This partnership represents a crucial step in preparing Malaysian youth for successful careers in the automotive sector.
By investing in local talent and fostering collaboration, Chery Corporate Malaysia is not only securing its future workforce but also contributing to Malaysia’s economic development. This initiative sets a promising example for other companies looking to support youth employment and skill development in the country.
