Cars Parked At Awan Besar LRT Station Being Broken Into, Why Is This?

The Awan Besar LRT station in Malaysia has been plagued by a concerning rise in car break-ins as of late, sparking debates and concerns among commuters and residents alike, particularly in online forums like Low Yat.net. The issue has been attributed to various factors, with illegal parking emerging as a primary culprit.
Located strategically to serve a bustling urban area, the Awan Besar LRT station is a hub for daily commuters relying on public transportation. However, the convenience of the station is overshadowed by persistent car break-ins. Some think this is because thieves are looking for coins but others claim it is because the cars are parked there illegally.
Moreover, while some users online joked about the cars here being broken into because people intend to steal the “android players” in these cars, the large majority of users online claim this is happening because the cars being parked there illegally causes traffic jams and turns two way roads into one way roads and that this should deter the owners from parking their cars there.
Naturally, many have voiced their concerns over the deteriorating security but to be honest, there really isn’t much that can be done as cars parked at the Awan Besar LRT station are typically left unattended for hours. Plus given that the places they are parked seem illegal, the government and local authorities are under no obligation to do anything about this.
On top of that, enhancing security measures such as installing additional CCTV cameras and increasing police presence during peak hours can deter criminal activities and provide commuters with a greater sense of safety but the cost of implementing such measures simply will not be met because, once again, these cars are apparently parked there illegally.
As the debate continues, it is evident that addressing the issue of car break-ins at the Awan Besar LRT station requires a coordinated effort from all parties. While illegal parking may not be the sole cause of the security challenges faced by commuters, it certainly exacerbates the situation and warrants immediate attention.
One quick look at the online forums will show that many of the commenters (likely trolls who never go anywhere near Awan Besar LRT but want to cause drama online) are very angry at the parked cars for bottleneck traffic and causing jams so I think if anything, the authorities will probably let the break ins continue just to stop the jam.
