Here is what Proton had to sa regarding its brand launch presentation yesterday
So yesterday, our first national carmaker, Proton, announced the new name and logo of its new electric vehicle (EV) brand which already has a few dealerships up and running but will only be releasing an EV to go along with it later this year. What that EV will look like and what its specs are is still unknown.
The brand was clearly very pleased with the progress it had made that it had clearly made a small oversight while the presentation was ongoing. Proton had accidentally mislabelled Sabah and Sarawak. This small mistake was immediately pointed out and the brand had quickly put out a statement regarding this. Below is Proton’s official statement.
“Proton acknowledges an error in a presentation mislabelling the states of Sabah and Sarawak. We deeply regret this mistake and understand the sensitivities it has stirred among our fellow Malaysians.
Proton holds the unity and diversity of Malaysia in the highest regard, and we are committed to respecting and celebrating all states equally.
We sincerely apologise for any misunderstanding caused and appreciate any feedback from the public. We will ensure greater care in our future endeavours. Thank you for your understanding and continued support.”
