Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has introduced the latest additions to its lineup with the global debut and immediate sale of new hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) models for the Xpander and Xpander Cross crossover MPVs in Thailand. Produced at the Laem Chabang Plant of Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd., these hybrid models mark a significant step in the brand’s commitment to electrification and cutting-edge automotive technologies.
The Xpander, initially unveiled in Indonesia in 2017, seamlessly blends the comfort of an MPV with the bold styling and road performance of an SUV. The series expanded with the addition of the Xpander Cross in 2019, solidifying its global presence. The Xpander series, a key player in Mitsubishi’s global strategy, achieved remarkable success, selling over 130,000 units globally in fiscal year 2022.
