The new McLaren Artura delivers an electrified open-air driving thrill

New McLaren Artura Spider has been revealed as McLaren’s first-ever High Performance Hybrid convertible and adds a thrilling new dimension to the Artura and McLaren supercar range. With its roof open, the car’s electrified silence stealthily primes the neural senses like no McLaren before, igniting an intense reaction.

Moving through each driving mode, the crescendo of sound from the McLaren Artura Spider’s redesigned exhaust system envelops the driver and the significant upgrades over original Artura, including more power, more performance deliver even greater Engagement for optimal fun while driving.

Moreover, the McLaren’s terrific acceleration almost indistinguishable from the coupe version which takes just 3.0 seconds to complete the century sprint and reaches 200km/h from standstill in just 8.4 seconds and sprint to 300km/h in 21.6 seconds. It has a top speed of 330km/h (205mph).

The McLaren Artura delivers more power with its advanced 3.0-litre V6 and E-motor powertrain now producing a combined 700PS (690bhp), with petrol engine output in excess of 200PS/litre Artura Spider is the lightest convertible supercar in its class with outstanding power-to-weight ratio of 480PS/tonne. Maximum torque is 720Nm.

A crescendo of sound from redesigned exhaust envelops driver, especially with roof or rear window lowered can be heard in the McLaren Artura Spider and its retractable one-piece hard-top operates electrically in just 11 seconds, at speeds of up to 50km/h. An electrochromic roof panel is also available as an option.

Aerothermal efficiency is also optimised on the McLaren Artura Spider with four separate ducting systems to increase engine cooling airflow and heat extraction while reducing occupant buffeting. This ensures a smooth ride and a comfortable but exciting experience all the time and on any road.

On top of that, the McLaren Artura Spider also sports a HD touchscreen infotainment system that houses all the car’s advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) systems and smartphone mirroring and features Apple CarPlay as standard along with wireless charging as an option.

The McLaren Artura also features Blindspot Monitoring and Cross-Traffic Detection are newly available while Road Sign Recognition and Lane Departure Warning now fitted as standard. New exterior paint colours include new ‘Stealth’ black badging (silver optional) and 5-year vehicle warranty, 6-year battery warranty, 10-year body perforation corrosion warranty and 3-year service plan.
