Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept Debuts In Game

Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept will be coming to GT7 next year.

Genesis, the renowned luxury automotive brand, took center stage at the Gran Turismo World Series World Finals in Barcelona, Spain, where they unveiled the breathtaking X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept. This concept car, designed in collaboration with Polyphony Digital’s Vision Gran Turismo series, promises an immersive racing experience as it joins the virtual track in January 2024.

The 2024 X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept is more than just a car; it’s an embodiment of the Genesis brand’s characteristic Athletic Elegance design philosophy. Born from a meticulous design study, this concept car showcases Genesis’ passion and commitment to the Vision Gran Turismo series.

The design language of the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept is a marriage of purity and muscularity, with volumes elegantly centered around the wheels. The cab-backwards proportions, combined with Genesis’ anti-wedge attitude, create a visual masterpiece. The virtual parabolical tensioned theory, a common thread in the Genesis model lineup, maximizes the dash-to-axle ratio, resulting in a lean mid-engine layout.

The X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept proudly sports Genesis’ new front fascia, abstracting the Crest Grille and linking it with the Quad Lights. This not only structures the volumes but also connects the front and rear with Genesis’ Two Lines brand identifier in a lightweight aerodynamic construction.

Inspired by the Distinctly Korean ethos, the Magma color references Korea’s volcanoes, embodying the emotion, passion, and vibrancy of the nation’s culture.

High performance takes center stage as Genesis designers achieve impressive aerodynamic fluidity. Through integrated aerodynamic aids and careful orchestration of internal and laminar flows, the X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept boasts a drag coefficient of just 0.34.

The interior of the X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept embraces Genesis’ Beauty of White Space attitude, creating a purist environment for the pilot. Essential functions are prioritized for maximum focus on the race track. The digital panoramic interface serves as an information center, linked to the surround digital monitoring system, providing unobstructed views of nearby vehicles.

Soft touch points strategically placed within the carbon cabin ensure the pilot’s comfort during racing and pit stops, exemplifying a perfect fusion of luxury and functionality.

Under the hood, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta VGT Concept is powered by a front mid-mounted Lambda 11 V6 engine, electrically assisted by Genesis E-SC technology. The hybrid race-spec drivetrain delivers a staggering 1071hp and 986 lb-ft of torque, showcasing a perfect harmony of power and beauty. The V6’s roar at 10,000 RPM, coupled with the Yasa E motor’s additional 201hp, promises an unparalleled racing experience.
