Citroën and DS owners may have a potentially faulty Takata airbag inflator in their cars.
Bermaz Auto Alliance has issued a Stop Drive statement as the authorised repairer of Citroën and DS cars. Owners of Citroën C3, C4, DS3, DS4 and DS5 models made between 2009 and 2017 are subject to a recall campaign due to possibly faulty Takata airbag inflators. These can be fatal even in a minor accident, so please take this seriously. Bermaz Auto Alliance has made many attempts to reach owners with recalled Takata airbag inflators, including letters, courier deliveries, emails, text messages and phone calls.
Stop driving your vehicle if it’s named above and contact Bermaz Auto Alliance’s Customer Relationship Management Helpline at 03-7627 8818 or drop an email at customersupport@baasb.com.my to find out your next steps.

Stop Drive Statement
As widely communicated through the press, authorities and other official sources, an ongoing global recall of Takata airbags for vehicles from several brands and manufacturers has been active for many years now. C3/C4/DS3/DS4/DS5 models produced from 2009 to 2017 are subject to a recall campaign since 2020, in multiple phases around the world. Owners and/or custodians of these vehicles have been repeatedly contacted and urged to seek the required repair immediately.
The involved vehicles are equipped with Takata airbag inflators whose chemical properties may deteriorate over time, particularly when exposed to hot, humid climates conditions. Such conditions may cause the inflators to rupture on deployment, scattering debris capable of causing serious injury or death. Fatality cases have been confirmed due to this issue, so immediate action from owners and/or custodians of C3/C4/DS3/DS4/DS5 produced from 2009 to 2017 is required.
Having safety and well-being as the highest priority, Citroën and DS urge owners or custodians of C3/C4/DS3/DS4/DS5 produced from 2009 to 2017 with recalled Takata airbags, which have not yet been replaced, to immediately stop driving them and contact the appointed Authorized Repairer in Malaysia – Bermaz Auto Alliance Sdn Bhd (BAASB) to obtain the required repair – free of charge.
