Will Polestar ever officially begin sales in Malaysia with this new car?
Swedish electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, Polestar, which is the electric sibling of Volvo, has been making waves recently especially since EVs are becoming more and more common across the globe. Now the brand has just announced another one of its vehicles, will be getting a special edition and will go on sale in Singapore.
Polestar has created a second limited-edition version of Polestar 2 within its Polestar Engineered portfolio, the BST edition 230. Starting with the exceptional chassis modifications developed for ultimate thrills in the original BST edition, the new version puts more focus on performance design details.
Moreover, while words certainly cannot do the Polestar 2 BST edition 230 justice, Polestar CEO, Thomas Ingenlath, certainly managed it by saying, “Limited drops like the BST edition 230 allow us to explore colours, graphics and materials in faster and more creative ways.”
Unique design upgrades for the 350kW and 680Nm Polestar 2 BST edition 230 include exclusive green Nebula paintwork and Charcoal MicroSuede textile for the seats and steering wheel inserts which are made from partly recycled Nubuck textile making the car not only sustainable but also stylish.
On top of that, the exterior of the Polestar 2 BST edition 230 can also be ordered in Space (metallic black) and both exterior colours feature a full-length matte black stripe. All the chassis upgrades that were first implemented on the original Polestar 2 BST edition 270 remain available, including the lowered ride height (-25 mm).
The specially developed and unique Ohlins 2-way adjustable dampers, front strut bar, 20 percent stiffer springs and unique black 21-inch alloy wheels that are inspired by those of Polestar 1, fitted with 245/35R21 Pirelli P Zero tyres developed specifically for BST edition cars are all also available.
The Polestar 2 BST edition 230 also comes in a higher state of tune than the Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor, featuring numerous performance and hardware enhancements that further improves the dynamic ability of the Performance Pack and a total of 230 units will be produced to be launched in Singapore at the end of Q3 2023.
