The upcoming CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models combine advanced technology, enhanced rider comfort, and dynamic performance powered by the impressive Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine. With exclusive and dramatic new visual designs, these motorcycles present a transformative revision of the iconic Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring platform. Get ready to embark on a thrilling journey as these exceptional bikes could hit Malaysian showrooms as early as mid-July.
Iconic Design, Redefined:
The new CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models feature stunning design updates that evolve from the classic shapes of previous Harley-Davidson Grand American Touring motorcycles. These models boast fairings with integrated venting and LED signature lighting, including integrated turn signals.
Notable design elements include a trimmed front fender, a distinctive 6-gallon fuel tank with a stylish side bevel, and saddlebags with a three-dimensional shape that harmonizes with the fairings and fuel tank. The bold custom statement is reinforced by the new Combo Cast Laced wheels, featuring a black machine-cut cast-aluminum rim with laced spokes. To cater to individual preferences, both models will be offered in two highly detailed finish options, ensuring a unique look on the road.
Pinnacle Performance:
The heart of the CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models is the groundbreaking 121-cubic inch V-Twin Milwaukee-Eight VVT 121 engine. This powerplant sets a new standard for torque and displacement available in a Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycle.
With optimized liquid-cooled cylinder heads, a new cooling system, variable valve timing (VVT), and a performance exhaust system, this engine delivers exhilarating power and performance. Furthermore, every aspect of the design has been carefully considered to enhance overall performance and rider comfort.
The CVO Street Glide sheds 14kg of dry weight, while the CVO Road Glide reduces weight by an impressive 15.9kg, compared to their predecessors. The high-performance front and rear SHOWA suspension components not only promote confident handling but also offer a significant improvement in rider comfort. With rear suspension travel increased by 50 percent, riders can expect a smoother and more enjoyable ride.
The addition of premium Brembo braking components provides outstanding braking feel and performance, further enhancing rider confidence. Moreover, the CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models introduce selectable Ride Modes for the first time, allowing riders to electronically control power delivery, engine braking, Cornering-Antilock Braking System (C-ABS), and Cornering-Traction Control System (C-TCS) settings according to their preferences and riding conditions.
Aero and Thermal Comfort:
The new fairings on the CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models feature a “floating” windshield design and adjustable air-control vanes, optimizing both aerodynamics and thermal comfort. Extensive wind tunnel testing has resulted in a remarkable reduction of subjective helmet buffeting by an average of 60 percent compared to equivalent 2022 models. Additionally, the new engine cooling system further improves thermal comfort for the rider, surpassing the standards set by previous CVO models. With these enhancements, riders can expect a smoother and more enjoyable experience, even during extended journeys.
All-New Infotainment Powered by Skyline OS:
Harley-Davidson has embraced the latest technology with the introduction of an all-new suite of infotainment features powered by the innovative Skyline OS. Replacing analog instrumentation and most switches, a 12.3-inch TFT color touch screen takes center stage, offering a premium and customizable display. Riders can choose from three distinct view options, and the system is compatible with both Apple and Android devices.
With Wi-Fi connectivity, riders can effortlessly connect their devices wirelessly, and a built-in Bluetooth receiver allows for seamless integration with wireless headsets. Furthermore, the CVO Street Glide and CVO Road Glide models provide expanded media storage compartments with a USB-C connection point, ensuring riders can stay connected while on the go. The audio experience is elevated with the inclusion of a premium, high-performance Harley-Davidson Audio powered by Rockford Fosgate Stage II four-speaker audio system, boasting a new 500-watt RMS amplifier.
