The Mitsubishi XRT will debut at the 2023 Bangkok International Motor Show
The 44th Bangkok International Motor Show which is set to take place from 21 March 2023 to 2 April 2023 is going to be unforgettable indeed as Mitsubishi Motors will display the new the Mitsubishi XRT Concept, a concept car of the all-new Triton 1 pickup truck planned for launch in fiscal year 2023 and we are excited to see it.
The Mitsubishi Triton is the brand’s top-selling model manufactured at the Laemchabang Factory in Thailand and exported to about 150 countries globally. The car is slated for its first full redesign in about nine years, making it the sixth generation of the brand’s midsize pickup truck.
Moreover, following its launch in Thailand, The Mitsubishi XRT will then be released in the ASEAN region, Oceania and other global markets sequentially. The Mitsubishi XRT Concept is characterized by a fierce expression on the front and a robust hood that continues to the side with bold, horizontally-themed styling.
The Mitsubishi XRT concept also features front and rear over fenders along with mud-terrain tires, giving it the the ability to conquer all forms of terrain. The body features a camouflage design inspired by lava rocks packed with condensed energy, and the sides with a graphic of the Ralliart brand icon.
At the Asia Cross Country Rally 2024, Team Mitsubishi Ralliart, which will be receiving technical support from Mitsubishi Motors, plans to compete with a prototype cross-country model of the all-new Mitsubishi Triton (Group T1 specifications) while gunning for the victory.
Hiroshi Masuoka, a two-time Dakar Rally champion driver in 2002 and 2003, will serve as team director, and Mitsubishi Motors engineers will perform pre-testing as well as accompany the team to provide support at the rally.
Mitsubishi Motors will be using the expertise it has gained from rallies as feedback in the development of its production vehicles, with the goal of creating vehicles that express the values of Mitsubishi Motors and deliver safe, comfortable driving enjoyment in any weather or road conditions.
