The new Mazda CX-3 now also boasts a new engine option
The Mazda CX-3 has always been a car that represents elegant design beauty, a carefree youthfulness and a sense of adventure. It is a compact SUV aimed at a younger and more active generation and now for 2022, Mazda is taking it up a notch with three variants and new prices sure to excite.
Aside from the usual Mazda CX-3 2.0L GVC, Mazda has added two new variants this time around, namely the SKYACTIV-G 1.5L Core variant and the SKYACTIV-G 2.0L Core variant, both of which are two-wheel drive and geared to those who want to enjoy Mazda’s Jinba-ittai driving experience with more fuel efficiency.
Moreover, the new 1.5L option of the Mazda CX-3 produces 114hp and 149Nm of torque and is paired to a SKYACTIV-Drive 6-speed automatic transmission. The all new CX-3 also benefits from Mazda’s G-Vectoring Control (GVC) technology for added stability and confidence on any road.
The Mazda CX-3 2.0L High variant which is the top spec model remains unchanged and will set one back RM131,359 while the mid spec 2.0L Core variant will go for RM118, 159 and the base model 1.5L Core variant costs RM107,870, all these prices are on-the-road without insurance prices for Peninsular Malaysia.
On top of that, Mazda has also updated the colour lineup for the all new Mazda CX-3 which now includes six beautiful colours, which are Snowflake White Pearl, Soul Red Crystal, Jet Black, Machine Gray, Polymetal Gray and Platinum Quartz.
The new CX-3 will be a CBU unit imported from Thailand and is now officially open for booking. It will also come with 5 years Manufacturer Warranty plus 5 Years free maintenance, this goes for 5 years or 100,000km, whichever comes first.
The Mazda CX-3 will be on display at the Bermaz Auto Showcase event from 5 to 9 October 2022 at the Oval Concourse in 1 Utama shopping centre from 10.00 A.M to 10.00 P.M. where there will also be a selection of other Mazda models on display including the Mazda CX-8, Mazda BT-50 and Mazda MX-30 so don’t miss out.
Are you guys excited for the new engine options in the Mazda CX-3? I know I am, anytime a manufacturer makes a car more accessible, I count that as a win and now with a cheaper price tag and a newer and more efficient engine, I hope more people will take to this car.
