PROTON Link app update available now.
“Hi Proton, what’s new?” An update to the PROTON Link app, that’s what!
As Proton’s tagline is “Inspiring Connections,” it would only make sense that Proton would strive to keep on connecting and continuously improve upon established connections and that is exactly what Proton is going for with this new update to the PROTON Link app.
Launched with the intent of creating a more connected and intelligent remote ecosystem for owners of Proton’s more high tech models the X70 and X50, the PROTON Link app allows owners to access information and control their cars remotely, a first for any Proton vehicle and remains an exclusive feature for the Proton X70 (all variants) and Proton X50 (premium and flagship variants only).
Many owners of Proton’s high end SUV models, the X70 and X50 will tell you that the PROTON Link app leaves much to be desired, with numerous bugs and glitches and in some extreme cases, users not being able to log in and a handful of other less than ideal issues which led to some users fixing the issues themselves.
In fact, at the time of this writing, the PROTON Link app currently has a lack-luster 2.6 star rating on the Google Play Store.
However, it is not all bad, as Proton has heard their loyal customers and has come up with a fix.
After recently completing a migration of tech infrastructure, Proton has released an update for the PROTON Link app to continue to serve you better.
Available now on the Google Play Store, Apple App Store and Huawei App Gallery, owners of the Proton X70 (all variants) and X50 (premium and flagship variants only), can update their app to the newest version, 1.2.3 to avoid any future PROTON Link service disruptions and hopefully any major issues in general moving forward.
Owners of the aforementioned Proton models can use the PROTON link app to monitor their vehicle conditions in real-time and remotely control certain features in their vehicle like locking and unlocking, opening and closing windows, adding on internet data to their vehicle and much more.
This is a very handy feature and I hope to see Proton implementing PROTON Link for all their models as well.
Of course, I think Proton should iron out the bugs that plague the app first so that if it does roll out to other models, it will work seamlessly and there will be a rise in positive feedback over negative ones.
