23,000 Malaysians Have Already Booked The All New Honda HR-V

We share some of the reasons why this all new Honda HR-V is selling so well.

In 2015 When Honda Malaysia launched the HR-V second generation, they took a bold decision and chance to ignite a segment that was at the time very small.

The HR-V became a crowd favorite very fast and by 2021 there were 110,000 plus units running around Malaysia.

The second generation HR-V was not just a success in Malaysia.  Since going on sale in Japan in late 2013 with the name Vezel (HR-V), this compact SUV’s unique blend of style, space and versatility catapulted it towards the top of the Japanese sales charts. In Europe it was sold as the HR-V like in Malaysia.

After selling more than 96,000 plus units in one year (2014) in Japan and becoming the country’s favourite compact SUV, the Vezel continued its success by becoming the best selling car in the SUV category for the past 18 months.

So, why did 23,000 plus Malaysians rush and book the all new 3rd generation HR-V in just a few short weeks?

Well, to start there was the SST tax free booking deadline which ended on June 30th and this spurred many middle class Malaysians to buy a new vehicle to enjoy that sales tax savings.

Then there was high demand from owners of the previous HR-V who have been waiting for an all new model to trade-in their older HR-V. The timing was perfect and surprisingly their older HR-V were still commanding a high used price.

Finally, and not forgetting, there was the all important need to get this very stylish sports SUV that has been getting dozens of regional great reviews on its design, powertrain and quality cabin fit, finish and build.

With the launch of this exciting new model, Honda Malaysia targets to sell 1,600 units per month.

Truly a compact SUV that is unmatched in its exterior design, interior space as well as advanced powertrains, the All-New HR-V is expected to attract young urban families, professionals and anyone who is looking for a stylish vehicle with advanced features that fits their daily lifestyle.

All-New HR-V is offered in five colours, Ignite Red Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic and Ruse Black Metallic.

The All-New HR-V prices are RM114,800 for the 1.5L, RM129,800 for the 1.5 Turbo E, RM134,800 for the 1.5T V and RM140,800 for the e:HEV RS version.
