This means the launch is just around the corner
It seems that the official price list of the upcoming Perodua Alza is making the rounds on social media, just a few weeks after the brochure leaked. Apart from the selling price, this latest disclosure also confirms that the compact MPV will retain the Alza name.
As previously reported, the Alza will be available in three variants, namely X as the base model, H as the mid-spec offering and AV as the top-of-the-range model. Pricing (on-the-road without insurance) starts from RM62,000 for the X, RM68,000 for the H and RM75,000 for the AV.
All three variants of the Alza will feature the 2NR-VE 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated Dual VVT-i four-cylinder petrol engine. Drive is sent to the front wheels via a D-CVT, which is likely shared with the Ativa. Like the Ativa, as well as the new Toyota Avanza and Daihatsu Xenia, the Alza utilises the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform.
On the equipment front, the Perodua‘s Advance Safety Assist 3.0 (ASA 3.0) that made its debut in the new Myvi is standard across the range but only the AV will come with Adaptive Cruise Control, Lane Centring Assist, Blind Spot Monitoring and Rear Cross Traffic Alert.
Elsewhere, there’s autonomous emergency braking, automatic engine stop/start, digital air-conditioning controls and LCD meter display. On top of these standard features that are available on the X, the H variant gets two more airbags, bringing the total amount of airbags to six, automatic LED headlights, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, front parking sensors and a reverse camera.
The range-topping AV adds leather seats, 16-inch alloy wheels, six speakers, electric parking brake with auto hold and driving video recorder.
