The 2022 Mazda CX-8 is improved all around and now has a turbocharged petrol option.
The updated 2022 Mazda CX-8 has been launched today by Bermaz, bringing in a new 2.5L turbocharged petrol engine choice as the most expensive and powerful option. It’s also the only all-wheel drive version of the CX-8 now. Yes, that means the 2.2L turbo diesel variant is now front-wheel drive only despite delivering a mountain of torque.

All variants of the CX-8 now get GVC Plus, which improves high-speed cornering stability. They also get additional USB ports for the 3rd row of seats and a 7″ digital instrument cluster, 6-way powered seat for the front passenger, a handsfree powered tailgate and auto-folding mirrors. That’s quite an upgrade in standard equipment.
New for Mid and HIgh variants
Mid and High variants (which only come with the naturally-aspirated 2.5L petrol engine) also get upgraded with black leather seats, previously only being available with black fabric seats.
