How Did NEW Royal Enfield Prices Drop A Whopping 30%

The new launch prices of Royal Enfield are almost 30 percent less right now.

The recent launch of the Royal Enfield range of motorcycles by DIDI Automotive Sdn Bhd came as quite a surprise for die-hard motorcycle enthusiasts and some journalists as the shared new selling prices for the 2022 models were much lower than what was sold a few months before by the previous importer and distributor.

We were also informed by a few readers (after our launch article was published) that the previous selling prices were RM9,000 to RM10,000 more expensive and this really did not make any sense as the motorcycle models in question were the exact same models and the warranty and after sales provided were almost the same.

Did the previous importer and distributor work on a huge profit margin, or did DIDI manage to negotiate a better factory, logistic and spare parts price from Royal Enfield in India?

Well, at this point the only thing that matters is the fact that Royal Enfield motorcycles are now much more affordable and with a better after sales exposure for more Malaysians to own.

Meanwhile, great news for DIDI Automotive Sdn Bhd as since the launch of the showroom and range of new motorcycles, there have been more than 80 bookings and counting as you read this. The showroom foot traffic has been very good and online interest in the brand has also surged.

Competing with the Japanese and also English street bike brands, Royal Enfield also brings to Malaysia its wide merchandise range which also attracts non motorcyclists with its rugged outlook and ‘military’ styling.

The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 sets a new benchmark in cruisers. It has been built from the ground up for those needing a unique motorcycle for city riding, but also long for a thoroughbred mount that allows them to head out on the highway and escape the pressures of daily life. The Meteor 350 is sold in three variants which are Fireball, Stellar and Supernova starting at RM24,300.

The Royal Enfield Himalayan is recognized as a truly capable adventure tourer by global motorcycle experts and has been featured on the covers of top global automobile magazines. It is among the leading Royal Enfield motorcycles being sold across several geographies, including Europe, America, Latin America and South East Asia.  The price for the Himalayan starts from RM29,500.

The Interceptor 650 Twin has also been the highest selling naked style motorcycle overseas for the entirety of the 2020 calendar year dominating the mid-sized segment for over a year, propelling Royal Enfield to become one of the fastest growing motorcycle brands in the UK.  The Interceptor 650 price starts at RM29,500 and the Continental GT price starts at RM33,100.

Take note that the above mentioned prices are anywhere from RM6,000 to RM10,000 lower than the selling price before DIDI Automotive Sdn Bhd took over as brand guardian in Malaysia. Surprising?
