That’s over RM15,000 of tax savings if you can buy it before the end of the SST exemption period
First introduced in September 2020, the all-new Audi Q5 Sportback is essentially a more stylish alternative to the regular Q5. The coupe-roofed crossover has made its way to our shores with a price tag of RM404,878 with a 50% SST exemption, without which it will go for RM419,900. As with the Q2, Audi Malaysia offers a five-year, unlimited-mileage warranty.
For our market, the Q5 Sportback is offered in a sole S line 2.0 TFSI quattro variant, which brings about a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine that churns out 249 hp and 370 Nm of torque with the help of a mild-hybrid system.
Equipped with a seven-speed S tronic gearbox and quattro all-wheel-drive system, the Q5 Sportback is capable of sprinting from 0 to 100 km/h in a quick 6.1 seconds before hitting a top speed of 240 km/h. The combined fuel consumption figure for this variant is 8 litres per 100 km.
Sloping roofline aside, the model comes standard with LED headlights and taillights, electric exterior mirrors with heating, power-folding, auto-dimming and memory functions and five-segment-spoke style 20-inch wheels in Graphite Grey.
The cabin, which is largely unchanged from the Q5, features sports seats, leather/leatherette “mono.pur 550” upholstery, auto-dimming frameless rearview mirror, Aluminium Rhombus inlays and Storage and Luggage Compartment package as standard.
The infotainment system is made up of a 12.3-inch Audi virtual cockpit plus display, the MMI navigation plus system, Audi connect with Emergency Call & Services, Point of Interest search and WLAN Hotspot, and Audi smartphone interface.
When it comes to comfort, occupants are pretty pampered thanks to features like powered driver’s seat with memory function, four-way lumbar sports for front seats, three-zone air-conditioning, ambient lighting and Comfort key.
Interestingly, the aforementioned price includes Black Appearance package, Bang & Olufsen premium 3D sound system, Lane Change Warning including pre sense rear, exit warning system and rear cross traffic assist, as well as Park Assist package that includes 360-degree cameras.
