The Genesis G90 interior is as impressive as its exterior.
After teasing the exterior of the G90, Genesis has finally shown off their all-new flagship sedan in its entirety. This includes its standard sedan and long-wheelbase versions. The all-new Genesis G90 features the most upmarket exterior in the company’s history. It features a new Crest Grille with Layered Architecture Design, ultrathin Two-Line Headlights, a clamshell hood, thick C-pillars and more.
But all of this has been shown before except for the 12 exterior colours, which are as follows:
- G90 Exclusive colours
- Hallasan Green
- Capri Blue
- Bariloche Brown
- Valencia Gold
- Maui Black
- Other colours
- Makalu Gray
- Vik Black
- Tasman Blue
- Seville Silver
- Uyuni White
- Makalu Gray Matte
- Verbier White
Now let’s talk about what wasn’t known before.
Genesis G90 Interior
The interior follows the design ethos of the “Beauty of White Space” and is designed to satisfy both chauffer driven customers and those who drive themselves. The interior features slim air vents, that runs all along the dashboard, a connected car Integrated Cockpit (iiCC). Extensive use of glass and aluminium trim pieces create the G90’s upmarket analogue feel to complement the largely digital cabin.
An electronic dial-type Shift-by-Wire transmission selector sits on the centre console. Genesis has installed a motor in it that vibrates when Reverse is selected to give the driver adequate feedback during operation. Other dials are used in the cabin for a uniquely tactile feel.
The Genesis G90 also features two panoramic sunroofs for both the front and rear row of occupants. These are controlled separately and they are both lined with mood lamps to add a sense of luxury. The rear seats are individual units that can be reclined separately for passenger comfort. Each passenger also gets their own personal storage spaces in the C-pillar area.
The innovative use of sustainable materials has resulted in some unique and new trim pieces in the G90. You’ll find Newspaper Crown Wood and Newspaper Stripe wood in this cabin – both made from reprocessing waste paper from daily life. Other trim piece materials include real metal, ash wood and forged carbon surfaces. It truly is flagship level in terms of finishing.
Five interior colour combinations will be available initially:
- Obsidian Black/Mono-Tone
- Bordeaux Brown/Obsidian Black Two-Tone
- Glacier White/Urban Brown Two-Tone
- Modern Gray/Galaxy Black Two-Tone
