The infotainment on the facelifted XC60 now features enhanced Google Services, including a new Digital Services Package with Google Assistance controls for Google Maps. This allows you to use voice commands directly with the vehicle to set navigation and more – all while keeping your hands on the steering wheel and eyes on the road. This new infotainment unit is built on Android Automotive OS. The Volvo Car App and Connected Services will allow remote smartphone connectivity with the new XC60, enabling owners to check the car’s status, lock and unlock doors, pre-climatise the car and more.

The new Volvo XC60 also brings a new grille, new front bumpers and a new exterior colour choice to the Malaysian market. The full-spec XC60 Recharge T8 will also feature a set of new 19″ 6-multispoke black diamond-cut alloy wheels as well as a Bowers and Wilkins audio system.

This powertrain option features the familiar 2.0L turbo and supercharged engine and electric motor with 407hp and 640Nm of torque leading to a 0-100km/h time of just 5.3 seconds. Despite this immense power, the XC60 Recharge T8 can return 2.2L/100km and even be driven on pure electric power. Charging takes place automatically through regenerative braking, but it can also be plugged in to charge, enabling up to 54 kilometres of electric driving.

Pricing starts from RM325,449.00 for new Volvo XC60 with a petrol T5 model and a PHEV Recharge T8 available as before. The T5 model comes with a 2.0L turbocharged engine with 254PS and 350Nm of torque being sent to all four wheels via an 8-speed conventional automatic. A new R-Design kit may also be available optionally soon. Online bookings can be made at Volvo Car Malaysia’s website.
