This is the company’s first premium electric bike
Australian EV manufacturer VMoto Soco Group has unveiled a new electric motorcycle called Stash at EICMA 2021, marking its foray into the premium electric segment. The bike is set to be offered in the European and North American markets under the VMoto banner.
Designed by C-Creative studio based in Europe, the Stash comes comes in the shape of a sports tourer that seems to be heavily inspired by the Suzuki Katana. The headlight has a KTM-esque U-shaped daytime running lights, while the ‘fuel tank’ is actually a frunk that is big enough for a full-face helmet.
The Stash appears to be an easy bike to ride and handle, and with a seat height of 785 mm and a weight of just 105 kg, we reckon it is. The presence of split seats and grab handles means it can accommodate a pillion comfortably. It will be available in black, silver and yellow, all of which come with 17-inch wheels in black.
Powering the Stash is a 6 kW (8 PS) electric motor that relies on a 7.2 kWh battery pack that offers a range of between 240 and 260 km on a full charge, provided that the bike is ridden at an average speed of around 45 km/h. Top speed is 105 km/h. The battery requires six hours of charging to get fully charged i.e. from 0 to 100 percent.
Elsewhere, you’ll find that this electric bike has telescopic forks at the front and a monoshock suspension at the rear, as well as disc brakes on both ends. It also appears to feature a digital instrument panel, which is likely to have Bluetooth-based connectivity features.
