The wait is almost over for Malaysia fans of the reborn Land Rover Defender.
Jaguar Land Rover Malaysia have revealed some important details about the Land Rover Defender. Firstly, we finally have a Malaysian launch date and it’s not too far off. Secondly, we have the specifications of the Malaysian edition at launch.
Land Rover Defender Malaysian Launch Date
We’ve already seen a few units being run around Selangor on trade plates, but the launch date had previously not been announced. Now, we have official confirmation that the launch date in Malaysia will be 21 October 2021. Anyone can tune in to watch the virtual launch livestream at 11am on Land Rover Malaysia’s Facebook page.
In Singapore, the Land Rover Defender has been available for more than a year, being brought in to the island nation in August 2020. Thailand got it a month before Singapore, putting a spotlight on how much tougher it is to do business in Malaysia. In fact, just about every other country in Asia was mentioned during the Asian launch of the new Defender except for Malaysia.
