Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution In The Used Car Market

This is a very rare Pajero and one that is in demand around the world.

This is no ‘run of the mill’ Mitsubishi Pajero. This is a limited edition Pajero that was developed in order to homologate this globally popular off road SUV for the very challenging Dakar Rally production-based T2 class of vehicle.

Like other legendary homologation specials, the iconic BMW E30 M3 and the Lancia Delta Integrale, this Mitsubishi sits alongside these two legendary cars in the same hall of fame.

Now on sale by its owner who is selling it with a heavy heart (please do not ask why) it can be yours for RM130,000 or very nearest offer. If you planning on a ‘low ball pandemic’ offer, then think twice as the owner is not ‘strapped for cash’ and would rather store it for later sale.

Mitsubishi Motors Japan only produced 2,500 units and only a handful arrived in Malaysia. We have only seen two other units on our roads in the last two decades and it was not this well kept unit.

If you take your time to research this Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution online you will find units in similar condition exchanging hands for almost 15,000 pounds sterling (in the UK before taxes and handling which is about RM88,000) and about USD26,000 to 31,000 in Japan (which is about RM110,000 to RM131,000 before import taxes and documentation).

Meanwhile, this unit is right here in Malaysia and with easy access for you to examine the vehicle close-up and check all mechanicals before making any payment.

So, why buy a Mitsubishi Pajero Evolution and not the normal V6 Pajero you get in our local used car online classifieds every month or so? Well, it starts with the power train. It is equipped with a MIVEC 3.5-litre 24-valve DOHC V6 6G74 engine with dual plenum variable intake. This engine produces a claimed 275bhp at 6500 rpm and a strong 350Nm of torque.

The two-door wide body SUV comes with large fender flares, two fin-like rear spoilers, an engine hood scoop and racing-inspired styling elements.

You also get a skid plate up front for additional off-road protection. To take on the rough terrain this Pajero is equipped from the factory with bespoke suspension starting with a double wishbone independent suspension in the front and a multi-link independent suspension unique to the Pajero Evolution in the rear. Of course 4-wheel drive comes standard, with front and rear Torsen differentials.

So, if you have the garage space and the RM130k, do not think twice. Call Mr. Skantha at 012-3796671 for a viewing and a possible selfie with the car.
