PRESS RELEASE

Following the designation of more vaccination centres for the Petaling district, the GoVax free shuttle service now includes University Malaysia Medical Centre (UMMC) and Ideal Convention Centre Shah Alam (IDCC).

This is on top of Hospital Shah Alam, Klinik Rakan Medik Petaling Jaya and the Sunway Pyramid Convention Centre as previously announced.

A CSR programme by GoCar Malaysia in collaboration with Kampung Tunku YB Lim Yi Wei, GoVax aims to provide free transportation to senior citizens aged 60 years and above and persons with disabilities (PWD) living in the Petaling district with transportation challenges in making their COVID-19 vaccination appointments.

Since it was launched on 25 May 2021, the programme has garnered close to 100 registrations. The first batch of seniors and PWDs successfully completed their vaccination on 31 May 2021 by leveraging the GoVax free shuttle service.

To book a free GoVax shuttle, contact the 24/7 hotline 1 300-30-2633 or put in a booking request via the GoCar mobile app at least three days before the confirmed vaccination appointment. Slots are limited on a first come, first served basis.

Do note, however, that passengers with mobility challenges will need to be accompanied by an experienced caregiver.

The GoVax free shuttle service will be available from now until 31 August 2021.
