2022 Isuzu MU-X Revealed In Australia, Launching Soon

Will Isuzu launch the handsome pickup-based SUV here?

Isuzu Ute Australia has released the first official photos of the new Isuzu MU-X ahead of its public online launch in a few months time.

As you can see, the second generation model brings a more attractive look over its predecessor thanks to a styling makeover comprising of smooth edges and clean lines.

At the front, there is Isuzu’s signature double horizontal bar grille with a thick surround that extends into the bi-LED headlights. Meanwhile, slim horizontal tail lights and a simplistic bumper design make the rear look very tidy. For the Australian market, the MU-X will come with 20-inch wheels.

As with the exterior, the interior of the seven-seat SUV also appears more upmarket, largely owing to the “prestigious-looking” dashboard. Standard equipment includes a large 9-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay as well as a whole suite of Intelligent Driver Assistance System (IDAS).

While technical specifications remain undisclosed at the time of writing, we can confirm that the MU-X rides on the same ladder-frame chassis as the D-Max. It is therefore safe to assume that it will be offered with the same 3.0-litre four-cylinder turbodiesel that makes 190 PS and 450 Nm in the pickup truck.
