6 million cars produced in 60 years by Mitsubishi Motors (Thailand) Co., Ltd.
When it comes to the ASEAN region, few countries make more sense than Thailand for many Japanese carmakers. There’s a thriving OEM ecosystem, a high volume of domestic sales, and clear policies. Mitsubishi Motors was one of the earliest investors in Thailand, setting up production there way back in 1961. 60 years since then, the company has produced 6 million vehicles there and exported 4.4 million of those.
Right now Mitsubishi Motors produces the following vehicles in Thailand:
- Triton
- Pajero Sport
- Mirage
