All-Electric Production-Ready BMW i4 Revealed

Not a lot of specifications, but the BMW i4 is finally ready to take the fight to Tesla.

It may surprise some of you to learn that BMW still doesn’t have a direct competitor to the Model S from Tesla or the Model 3. This is despite the fact that the Model S was launched way back in 2012, nearly a decade ago.

Now though, BMW are gearing up to launch their first all-electric sedan. It appeared as an i4 Concept first, and now we have the official production body of the BMW i4. The factories are ready, and so is the car.

The BMW i4 will be available with a maximum range of 590km and have a maximum output of 530 horsepower which allows for a 0-100km/h time of around 4 seconds.

The amount of details shared in the press release is spare (but you can read it below anyway). It’s best to watch the 5-minute video they have below.

It at least tells the story of why the BMW i4 is the way it is.
