Everyone’s favourite performance sedan, the M3, will be available with the go-faster Competition kit
It seems that the G80 BMW M3, which was officially shown less than three months ago, is making its way to our shores sooner than expected as BMW Malaysia has opened up bookings for the performance sedan. It will be offered solely in Competition guise, with the Innovation Package available as an option.
Pricing for the all-new M3 Competition starts from RM664,800 and ticking the Innovation Package box will cost customers an additional RM75,000. However, the package is offered at a discounted price of RM58,000 until 31 December 2020. Those interested will need to pay RM5,000 to place a booking.
The M3 Competition is powered by a 3.0-litre biturbo inline-six engine that makes 510 hp and 650 Nm of torque, which represents an increase of 30 hp and 100 Nm over the standard version. Power is sent to the rear wheels via an 8-speed M Steptronic transmission, enabling the sedan to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds. The M xDrive all-wheel-drive system will only be available starting next year.
The Innovation Package carries additional items as shown in the following table:
