Petrol and diesel prices will increase by 10 sen and 9 sen respectively starting midnight tonight until July 3.
According to the Ministry of Finance, the price of RON95 petrol will go up from RM1.59 to RM1.69 per litre, while RON97 will be priced at RM1.99 per litre, up from RM1.89 previously.
Meanwhile, the retail price of diesel will go up from RM1.77 to RM1.86 per litre.
The ministry says the increase across the board is due to the increase in refined product prices in line with the rise in global crude oil prices.
The government will continue to monitor the impact of global crude oil price change and take appropriate measures to ensure the welfare and well-being of the people are looked after.
The weekly pricing of petroleum products is calculated based on the Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM) formula that was introduced in January 2019.
