Kia Motors Corporation has announced the launch of Kia Promise, a global warranty extension program designed to support Kia customers whose movements may be limited because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Kia Promise is available in 142 countries (including Malaysia) and covers all vehicles with original Kia warranties that expire between February 1 and April 30, 2020.
The program extends the warranty of all eligible vehicles to June 30, 2020. It is believed that the program would benefit more than 500,000 Kia customers worldwide.
With many countries and businesses taking precautionary measures to counteract the COVID-19 pandemic, the Kia Promise program aims to help customers who may be unable to visit a workshop during this time as well as those who are not able to bring their car in for servicing.
Kia Motors says it continues to closely monitor COVID-19 developments in communities where it does business. The company continuously strives to prevent infections at its facilities while working with federal, state and local authorities, complying with all standards set by those entities.

As a way of easing some of the concerns experienced by many Kia owners who find themselves not able to bring their vehicles for warranty repairs, I am pleased to inform you that we have launched the ‘Kia Promise’ global warranty extension program for all vehicles with original Kia warranties that expire between 1 February 2020 and 30 April 2020. Kia Promise extends the warranty coverage of all eligible vehicles until 30 June 2020.
