To reduce traffic congestion and facilitate smoother traffic flow during the upcoming Christmas and New Year holidays, all reload lanes at entry toll plazas on PLUS-operated highways will be closed to customers beginning 24th December 2019 to 2nd January 2020.
To help make their travel safer, smoother and more convenient, PLUS strongly recommends customers to plan their journey and top-up their Touch ‘n Go cards earlier and to ensure their card have sufficient balance at all times.
PLUS anticipates the traffic plying its highways will increase by 18 percent from 1.7 million vehicles during normal working days to 2 million vehicles during the holiday period.
As such, traffic flow at major toll plazas will be hugely disrupted if highway customers fail to ensure sufficient balance in their Touch ‘n Go cards. This will also affect the comfort and movement of other customers at the toll plaza.
As Touch ‘n Go card top-up service will not be provided at the exit lane at the toll plazas, customers are advised to top-up their cards at 11,000 reload centres covering ATM machines, R&Rs, petrol stations, malls, self-service kiosks and convenient stores throughout the country.
PLUS also reiterates that toll transactions via PayDirect e-wallet cannot be performed at PLUS toll plazas at this point of time. As such, highway users are advised to only use Touch ‘n Go cards and SmartTAGs for toll transactions on its highways.
