Waze has just teamed with an insurance breakdown service provider to provide roadside assistance. This comes at a right time as the AAM breakdown service is no longer in operation and most car insurance companies who provide FREE breakdown service have partners who ‘force’ drivers who use their service to get their car towed to their friendly workshops or use their ‘friends’ to do roadside repairs. This service should and must be available for the driver to pick their preferred workshop and mechanic.
After its successful launch across Europe in 2018, Allianz Partners, a world leader in B2B2C insurance and assistance, and Waze navigation app, are today announcing an expansion of their partnership to provide roadside assistance services to over 10 million Waze users across Asia Pacific: in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand and Australia. Drivers will be able to access an on-demand roadside assistance service powered by Allianz Partners in real-time, by one simple click on the Roadside Help (‘SOS’) button in the Waze app, and get support from either a digital platform or call center. Wazers will be assisted anywhere, 24/7, in the event of a breakdown, flat tire or dead battery.“
This partnership highlights both companies’ commitment to delivering reliable and value-adding solutions to drivers in need, ensuring their safety wherever they are.
Waze users can access roadside assistance services from Allianz Partners across the globe in Singapore, Malaysia, India, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, France, Italy, Greece, United Kingdom, Turkey, Russia, the Netherlands, Belgium, Portugal, Spain, Ukraine, Romania, Slovakia, Hungary, Poland, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Ireland and Germany.
